「利他」とは、自分のことよりも他者の幸福を願う心のことです。「他者の幸福」とは、個人の幸福に留まらず、地域社会全体の幸福、更には、多文化理解に基づく世界平和も含まれます。本校では、このような広い意味での「他者の幸福」を願う心を、学校教育の中で養いたいと考えています。また、他者の幸福を願う心を育むには、生徒自身が豊かな心を備えている必要があります。この豊かな心を育てるには、様々な学びを通して身に付けた「叡智」が必要です。そして、この「利他」と「叡智」を身に付け、実行に移すためには、心身共に健全であること（「剛健」）が必要となります。
朝日塾中等教育学校は、「利他・叡智・剛健」の全てを兼ね備えた人物こそが「次代を担うリーダー」に相応しい人物だと考え、日々の教育活動に取り組みます。

The School Mission
To foster students who will lead the next generation with"altruism, wisdom, and soundness".
"Altruism"means the desire for the happiness of others rather than for oneself. "Happiness of others"includes not only the happiness of individuals but also that of the entire community and world peace based on intercultural understanding. In our school education, we would like to cultivate the desire for "the happiness of others" in such a broad sense. Also, in order to foster the desire for the happiness of others, the students themselves need to have an enriched spirit. In order to nurture this desirable personality, it is necessary to acquire"wisdom"through a variety of learning experiences. Additionally, in order to acquire this"altruism"and"wisdom"and put them into practice, it is necessary to develop physical and mental"soundness".
We carry out our daily educational practice based on the idea that people who possess "altruism","wisdom "and"soundness"are suitable for leaders of the next generation.

「個性を伸ばすハイレベルの教育」
朝日学園・みつ朝日学園グループに共通した建学の精神は「個性を伸ばすハイレベルの教育」です。園児・児童・生徒の一人ひとりにはそれぞれ特有の「個性」があります。私どもはその個性を見いだし、伸ばし、自信を持たせる教育が非常に大切なことと考えています。
私どもは1981年に朝日塾幼稚園を開設して以降、朝日塾小学校・朝日塾中等教育学校・鹿島朝日高等学校と開校してきました。その間この建学の精神は一貫して堅持され、一人ひとりを大切に、それぞれその年齢に応じたハイレベルの教育を実施し、社会や保護者のニーズにお応えするようにして参りました。
朝日学園・みつ朝日学園グループでは「知育」だけに偏ることなく、人間の成長の基礎である「情操」、心身の「健康教育」にも力を注ぎ、全人格的な教育を展開しています。

The founding spirit of "High-level education that develops individuality"is common to the Asahi Gakuen and Mitsu-Asahi Gakuen group. Every student, who belongs to our kindergarten, elementary school, and secondary school has his/her own unique "individuality."We believe that it is very important to implement educational practice that finds and develops individuality to build self-confidence.
Subsequently to establishment of Asahijuku Kindergarten in 1981, we opened Asahijuku Elementary School, Asahijuku Secondary School, and Kashima-Asahi High School. The founding spirit has been consistently maintained, and we have cherished each individual and provided high-level education according to students' age to meet the needs of society and parents.
Asahi Gakuen and Mitsu-Asahi Gakuen group has been developing holistic education by focusing not only on"intellectual education"but also on"emotional education"and"mental and physical health education"which are the basis of human growth.
