‘Genki’ students take prize stimulating revitalization
Asahijuku’s 2nd year high school diploma students captured 3rd place at an English presentation contest this month at Fukuyama Heisei University in Hiroshima prefecture this month.
The contest invited student groups to present about activities they do in school or their community. Asahijuku’s students chose to showcase the Mitsu Genki Project, which centers on practical steps young people can take to promote community engagement and help revitalize Mitsu town.
“We all are so happy that we won the bronze prize at this English presentation”, said Yui Kurose, a presenter. “We all want to appreciate all the support from our teacher and all
the team work we did.
Li Xincan, another presenter said, “I was struggling with the sentence ‘We drew a line in the sand’ for a long time, but I eventually overcame this word and can read it smoothly.”
GoTenu, the third member of the group said, “It was a great experience to get on the stage and give a presentation. Through this experiece, I have learned a lot”
The 3rd place finish marks a meaningful achievement for both their community service and presenting their message to a wider audience. Confident communication sets a clear
example of how young people can both care for society and articulate it’s potential to a wider audience.

朝日塾の高等部2年DP生たちは、今月広島県の福山平成大学で行われた英語プレゼンテーションコンテストで3位を獲得しました。
このコンテストは、学校や地域で行っている活動について学生グループが発表するものでした。朝日塾の生徒たちは、地域参加を促進し、町の活性化に役立つ若者の具体的な取り組みを中心とした「みつ元気プロジェクト」を紹介しました。
プレゼンターの黒瀬さんは「英語プレゼンテーションで銅賞を受賞できてとても嬉しいです。先生方のサポートとチームワークに感謝しています」と話しました。
もう一人の発表者、李さんは「‘We drew a line in the sand’という表現に長い間苦戦しましたが、最終的に克服してスムーズに読めるようになりました」と語りました。
グループの3人目、ゴさんは「ステージに立って発表する素晴らしい経験ができました。この経験から多くを学びました」と述べました。
3位入賞は、地域貢献活動とメッセージを幅広い聴衆に伝えるという両面で意義深い成果となりました。自信を持って伝えることで、若者が社会に関心を持ち、その可能性を広く伝える模範となっています。
